Covid-19 & Table Tennis

It has been 5 years since I last blogged and this is my first post using a phone. My house laptop has crashed and I cannot use it anymore.

Anyway, I am working as a school admin currently but this job is rather challenging.

This is week 5 working from home and I have another 4 weeks to go. I shall take a step each time.

I hope my table tennis idol, Liu Shiwen will be tokyo olympic singles champion in table tennis and I look forward to the days which I can resume playing Table Tennis.

Many things have happened. They can be good and bad these few years. I have left Bedok CC Table Tennis Group since October 2018 and concentrated playing in other places. I think I have improved my skills.  I do not wish to stay in a group which I am forced to listen all the time.

Nevertheless, though I left Bedok CC with a bad note on my own accord, I believe the people there taught me some things indirectly, whether the experience is good or bad.

Some players/friends will definitely still leave a deep impression in my memory, as we move on in our lives and no longer in contact. 

I am now quite accustomed to my new groups of sparring partners and friends in other ccs. They are generally more friendly. I also hope to improve my skills vastly to gain attention from players who only seek playing with players whom they think are comparable to them.

Changes in Career

I will be stepping down from my position as an Account Assistant in my current workplace in four days' time.
I feel it is finally time to make this move, and to do something I can handle much better.
I would be working as a Student Care Facilitator at a centre, and I hope I am up to the challenge. Will sign the letter of agreement on Friday, 22nd May 2015.

Table Tennis Session on 15th May 2015

Mr Tham and Uncle Poh came yesterday for Table Tennis Interest group Session. I played with Mr Tham twice. I still lost to him, but my scores improve.
During the first game I lost 1-2 (5-11, 11-9 , 8-11) and during the second game , I lost 0-3 (5-11,8-11,6-11).


I enjoyed playing with both of them, and I hope I will be able to win Mr Tham one day.His forehand topspins are very strong.

Muzutani Super ZLC blade

I bought a Muzutani Super ZLC Blade about 2 weeks ago, It has a nice feeling for both backhand and forehand strokes. 
Prior to this, I have a Liu Shiwen ZLC Blade and TSP Hino Power Blade (with short pimples).
I look forward to improving my table tennis skills, and I hope these three blades will continue to assist me in my play.

New Digimon Anime 2015 : Digimon Adventure Tri!!!!

I am very happy Digimon Adventure Tri is confirmed and will start airing on April 2015.

It is said the anime will be dark in tone and appeals to adults, especially those who have watched Digimon adventure 15 years ago!

Down the Memory Lane 2013

1) Dragon Ball Battle of Gods. This movie was released in Japan on 30th March 2013. I watched it online during September 2013. The movie is nice, and Bills-sama, the God of Destruction. Not forgetting, I like Kindaichi Hongkong Kowloon Treasure Murder Movie and Yamada Ryosuke's Mystery Virgin at the start of the year.

2) I bought a new table tennis bat with Hurricane III on the forehand side, and long pimples on the backhand side. Sometimes, I will make an effort to go down to the community centre to play table tennis with the other players in the interest group. Most of them are middle-aged uncles and teenage boys. I hope I will be able to improve further and be equally as good as them. Also, I think i have learnt how to chop. One of my table tennis idol, besides Feng Tian Wei, is South Korea, Seo Hyo Won. She's a great chopper with good attacking skills.

3) I won the SIM University Silver Award for 2013 Convocation.


4) Visited River Safari on my birthday, 12 September 2013.

5) Watched '3 Peas in a Pod" with two friends, Tsian Hwee and Edward in Bishan Junction 8, GV last saturday. I initially thought the girl in the movie is so fortunate to have 2 guys who like her. However, there was a twist in the ending. When I told my suspicion to Edward, he said I was correct, and I just laughed my head off.
